Metal Roofing

First of all, apologies for neglecting to update things for a week or so, it's been that busy!
Our roof metal arrived over a week ago and was die rolled on-site to the shape required by Leo and Cookie.  Pat, our master roofer has been busy full time (as in every day, including all three of the long weekend) fitting the individual panels to the roof.  I had no idea how "hand made" a metal roof was but Pat has been fitting all of the flashings and ridge caps by hand for a perfect custom fit and has our major respect for the work he has been putting in, including some VERY HOT days up on the reflective "galvalum" surface.

  1. That's one great roof!!! I am CEO of Drexel Metals LLC and we sell galvalume coils to contractors that roll form roofing panels. It could be our material. Can you send me the name of your contactor? (rwaite@drexmet.com)

You've got a great roof that will last a life time!

  2. Make sure you apply for the $ 1,500 tax credit for energy savings...galvalume qualifies for this...use form # 5695 and be sure to get a certificate from the supplier.
